 Simple Plan supports Raymond Roy |
 click to enlarge Through Simple Plan Foundation, the group Simple Plan already raised funds for many organisations that works for the welfare of young people from diverse nations and social conditions. Between the selected organisations, Fondation des Auberges du Coeur received the donation of $5.000 to create the Foundation Fellowship Simple Plan. Thus, both had agreed to destined $4.000 to a project that would be of huge relevance to the young musicians, who would get about $1.000 after a beneficient concert of the band in Montreal on December 2008. Thanks to this, Roy Rayomond received a donation of $4.000 to make a musical incentive in the house. They got new equipment for its studio and new musical instruments. For 2009 are planned a lot of workshops (vocals, guitar, percussion, piano, art, etc...) available for the residents of both houses. Also there's a basement, the Café du Cœur, that allow kids, even the actors, to perform a show like cabaret style. At the moment the kids are busy with their productions, design and room decorations, lights, sounds, movies, animes. Still speaking of Simple Plan Foundation, the members of Simple Plan and volunteers recently announced that Spa Concept chose the Simple Plan Foundation to receive the donations of this year of the golf competition that happens on July 12th at Saint-Basile-le-Grand.  As there's nothing new about Simple Plan, we found out an old issue of Kerrang! magazine which brings the Top 5 of favourite places from the Simple Plan's drummer, Chuck Comeau, in Montreal. Check it out: SHO-DAN "Our favourite restaurant is this sushi place. They have the most funky rolls you'll ever eat, and they've been promising me that they'll come up with a special crazy 'Simple Plan roll' for ages."BELL CENTRE "The Montreal Canadian hockey team play there, and the best show we ever played in Montreal was there. It was a really emotional night for us, it was an amazing show and we all got chocked up when we walked out on stage."BALDWIN BARMACIE "We like to go to this bar a lot, it's kind of a small place, and it's pretty chilled and mellow. We see a lot of the people we knew in school there, just a cool place to go."MONT ROYAL PARK "This mountain is right in the middle of the city and it has amazing views. Everybody goes there in the summer time, you can run or just hang out, and they have concerts there sometimes."MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS "I'm a nerd so maybe the rest of the guys in the band don't go there as much, but I love this museum. It's a really cool building and it has great exhibits all the time." |
