VIDEO AND PHOTOS: Simple Plan's performance at Winter Olympic Games


Recently was divulged a video from the best moments of Simple Plan's concert in Calgary, last Saturday.

This performance was the first of the band this year and, beside the video was recorded from a conventional camera, worth the watch of this 20 minutes video, clicking here. We can check out scenes from pretty much all the band's setlist in Calgary.

Simple Plan live at "Bitch Slap Radio" tonight


Simple Plan will be live tonight at 10PM EST, at the radio show Bitch Slap Radio Tonight from Idobi radio.

The band was invited since Mayday Parade won't be able to get there, to talk about everything that comes up during the transmission, like the new album or the Winter Olympic Games. The fans can interact through Skype, Twitter or AIM, sending questions to the members at the studio.

VIDEO: Simple Plan performing in Calgary
Last night, Simple Plan performed their first show of 2010, at the event promoted by the Winter Olympic Games that are currently going on in Canada. It was an opening concert, however, the low temperature wasn't a problem to these guys.

The picture above was taken during Simple Plan's performance yesterday in Calgary at the Winter Olympic Games. Check below some quotes from the band at show, divulged in a review about the event by Calgary Herald.
"I know it's cold up here, but if we all jump together it's going to be a lot warmer!" said Pierre Bouvier of Montreal pop-punk band Simple Plan during his band's headlining set for the Winter Olympics Celebration at Olympic Plaza. "Do you guys feel me?"

"I feel like my tongue is frozen," joked Bouvier at one point. "Don't lick the microphone," quipped one of his bandmates. "Your tongue will stick."

Updates about Simple Plan


As you all know, Simple Plan is currently writing new songs from their 4th album, that will probably hit the stores later this year. That's why there is nothing new related to the band, except from the member's tweets, constantly updated to our Twitter Section on the top of the page.

Except for Chuck (who still in LA writing and will join the guys very soon), Pierre, Sebastien, David and Jeff are probably in Canada getting ready for the first concert of the year. The guys are confirmed to perform at the Olympic Winter Games opening cerimony this weekend.

Pierre and Chuck attending events in LA


While Pierre and Chuck are in Los Angeles writing for the new Simple Plan's album, the guys enjoy their time off hanging out and attending some events in California.

Yesterday, they were at the Grammy party and, back on November 11st, Pierre and Chuck attended the launch of the videogame called Assassin's Creed II, promoted by Maxim magazine. Besides them, other artists like Kristen Bell and Jessica Szohr were also there.

Simple Plan announce donation of $10 000 to Haiti


Last night, during the special Ensemble Pour Haiti, the members of Simple Plan announced their donation of $10 000 to the Haiti victims.

At 8PM EST, was being broadcast in Canada the show Canada For Haiti, where Chuck and Pierre had a little participation. Both are still in Los Angeles working hard on songs for the new album, however, they took some time to record a small video asking for your donation to this cause, just like the entire world did. Watch below the exact moment where they appear:



After that, at 9PM EST, started another special called Ensemble Pour Haiti ("Together For Haiti"), which was on for two and a half hours. At this anoher show, we announced on our Twitter page and the post "Simple Plan helping Haiti" has been edited with the exact time Seb, David and Jeff would be announcing SP Foundation donation, and the links where you could watch the solidarity of the band.

We're still looking for a video in high quality for those who were not online have the chance to check it out. In this meantime, we're bringing, with exclusiveness, the audio for download where the three members of Simple Plan announce the donation of $10 000 to Haiti.

Interview with Jeff for Canada AM


This morning Jeff Stinco was live on the news Canada AM to talk about the Haiti benefit tonight.

During the interview, Simple Plan's guitar player explain that SP Foundation objective was always taking care of children in need, but this situation got their attention and the guys couldn't do anything except from help Haiti. Jeff also announced that, tonigh, during the benefit show, Simple Plan will donate a significant amount to help rebuil the country on the special Canada For Haiti broadcast by CTV.
