Simple Plan's first performance in Brazil back in March last year was in Porto Alegre and the opening band was Área Restrita.
Today, the website Bah! Digital published an interview with the members of the band where they also talk about this experience and the fans' reception. Check it out:
Last year, the guys were selected to be Simple Plan's opening band in Porto Alegre. Note: the canadian boys chose each band who had played before they hit the stage. "It was incredible to be recognized by the guys I used to hear when I was a kid", says Falaschi. After the TV show "Garagem do Faustão", contests to independent bands...
How was the experience to be Simple Plan's opening band? It was pretty cool. I used to hear them a lot back in 2004, not anymore, but I still have respect to the guys. Pierre came to say hi to us, it made me feel special. The reception of their fans was also the best. I have to say I was afraid, because when you're at an internacional concert, you're exciting just to see them playing. But the crowd came to us on the internet after this.
